Prize for Human Powered Flight Raised to $250k

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. have decided, since they recently announced a dramatic change in the prize money for the Igor I. Sikorsky Human-Powered Helicopter Competition, from $20,000 to $250,000.

Fire Boss Air Tanker Down, Pilot Hurt
conairfireboss_120 An air tanker pilot escaped with minor injuries after his amphibious Fire Boss (a highly modified Air Tractor) crashed in Okanagan Lake in south central British Columbia Saturday. The unidentified pilot, who worked for Abbotsford-based Conair, was rescued by boaters.
